It's that time of the year...
Yes it is that time of the month.. the New Year is coming! The celebration from old to new is always accompanied with lots of FIREWORKS!
A few month back I've posted a post about firework, but today I'm sending the message from the LAAF (The Liberation Army against freedom) It's a Dutch site that warns people for fireworks with lots of funny clips.. (sometimes really bad,.. but very funny)
Check it out!
http://www.laaf.info/
Don't feel overwhelmed with all the 'Arabic' thingys on it! It's a site developed by the Ministery of Holland, so it does no harm ;)
Love..

The International Evening at Katho!

Tired of calling..
How are you all doing? I'm doing fine.. i'm not yet stressing out or nothing! (well.. As for now, i'm not stressing :P)
The last days we visited a lot of towns, schools and so on..
Last thursday we went to Ghent, Eline and me.. to ask some questions about our ADD project (from Psychology) we didn't had much help.. I phoned and emailed that week about 7 schools! Neither of them answered me back.. except for the ones I called the day before..
I was stressing b/c no-one seemed to care for us.. (sad huh?) One school offered us some help and we went to Ghent.. but unfortunately there was no-one who 'realy' could helped us.. :S *nasty word inserted* they gave some information about other centres where we could go 'nag' I mean.. ask our questions! The one positive of that day was I saw Mic, when we went strolling along in the Veldstraat... (and the strolling was quite nice too)..
The next day we dragged ourselves BACK to Ghent.. but to another school! It was the 'Round of Flanders' about visiting Special Needs schools.. We went to The Oase in Ghent.. (types 1-3 & 8)
I really had some cultureshock there! Pff.. I really got angry from all the things the speaker spoke of.. (from cruel parents to crueler grandparents!) Arrgh....! (didn't find the site though)
In the afternoon we ride along with Annelies to Oudenaarde.. The Horizon was the last one we signed up for.. That was less shocking but a bit more interesting, b/c we got something called 'Braingym' very interesting!
http://www.bulo-dehorizon.be/
Hmm.. Special needs really isn't my cup of tea I think.. Too emotional hard I think..
The weekend was the better part of this week.. :P I stayed over at Mic's house :D.. Lovely time I had :) Thank you sweety.. (k) And sunday ... was a cold day...
Yesterday we went AGAIN to Ghent b/c we had to go to Destelbergen by bus to go to SIG (http://www.sig-net.be/Default2.aspx) very interesting site + docudienst! At first we were scolded by the librairian that us students take too much for granted and had to email her earlier for meeting up with her.. (I didn't saw that immediatly on the site.. so I emailed them Saturday and called her back on mondaymorning..) After that little shock.. we got our permission to search things about Hearingdissabilities, b/c that's our subject for our Dutch assignement.. Than that same day, we had to be in Tielt by 11.30, we nearly missed the bus! Luckely we both are Marathonrunners.. :O and got on time on the train.. (we had a little international meeting at noon)
Then we finally were free to go.. :P from 8.30u on the road.. quite good eh?
Today I really had a bad day... it really sucked actually.. One of the students has been ran over by a car (a big camionette) and has a severe concaussion (is it spelled that way?).. Really sad.. and it happend on the same road as we go on and pro each day.. SUCK!
Today I also heard about 2 PDT students who quitted there training at Katho.. That's really sad too.. w'ell miss them as wel...
The meeting that I had to do and be the 'Head' off.. didn't started to good as well.. don't know what actually went wrong.. maybe a bit chaotic or I wasn't in a too good mood? Or a combination of both probably.. (The previous hour I didn't got what I wanted.. so I was a bit cranky) It was a bit hard.. but the rest of the meeting went better and everyone started listening as well..
What's next on program this week?
- Wednesday: Bachelor Project day TOMORROW! Sitting together en working on the text of our subject.
- Thursday: Buso day.. again a day spend in a Special Needs school.. this time being the 'MPI Heilig Hart' in Sint Maartens Leerne. (a bit closer to home)
- Friday: In the morning; a meeting AGAIN! *sigh*... and then Eline and I are of to Lokeren.. (a school of ADD) where they -so-help-me-God- can help us..
--> I officially as of now.. HATE CALLING to SCHOOLS.. 'can't someone else do it?' NOT ME NEVER AGAIN.. JAMAIS,NADA, NOWAY! People are soo rude some times.. :'(
Thé DAY that i'm looking out to is..: (drum roffles)
- Saturday: Going out with Mic and friends.. Bowling.. showing some moves with big balls! Yay.. finally leaving this nervewrecking week behind..
Now.. enough of my rants!
But I like to add some more little rants to this BIG rant up above :P
- Next week is our International evening! Be there or be a cube :P (sorry little inside joke.. I blame for thee Homer!) We still are preparing our Powerpointpresentations.. so it will be VERY interesting! And.. off course.. the first country to start is?? ... IRELAND.. d'oh.
- Next week we also have to do a gazillion THINGS.. I really really want to swear now.. But I want to have a neat blog for once.. so you can imagine the ugliest, shocking swear right about NOW.. I'm imagining it too :P
- I uploaded The Irelandblog as well.. You know the adress! See you there ;)
Now.. I'm finally gonna... stop.. for.... now.... My ....fingers... are .. hurting..
Bye everyone ;)
Hope your weeks are also this 'nice' and active!
Love...

Practice Next WEEK!
How is everyone doing? :)
I'm stressed yet again.. *rolls eyes*
Next week it's practice again. But this time i'll be for the first time in a first grade (the 1e leerjaar) It'l be something different for sure.. Pfff.. I'm a bit freaking out.. Hoping for the best off course hé :)
Luckely the children still know me a bit! But there are some troublemakers in the class (at that age? What went where wrong?).
Excited, anxious, stressy.. all in one!
Wish me succes peeps :)
What have I done in the Autumn break?
- Working for school
- Working for practice (aka school AGAIN)
- gone to the Boekenbeurs with Mic.. and it was good! (I've bought the book with ALL answers!)
More news to share?
- Today Mic and Me are celebrating our 4 month anniversary!!!! Cool huh?? Still loving you, Michael (k)
-Today also was my last workingday at the GB.. it's finished, done, over.. and that's such a pity... I really loved my work in the GB.. (keer tevreden terug?! Tzal wel zijn.. verliefd geworden op den beste klant) I've been there 3 years! Quite long, never cut my fingers, loved the work, loved the people there.. i'm really gonna miss it.. The GB is now working under a new management. (Pol and Wim decided they'd quit the running of their supermarket) and because there's a new Boss in tha house, he decided to turn the hours of opening. So that means he will be closing on Sunday.. and he doesn't like jobstudents, so.. yep.. no hope for me as of yet. He also decided to put all the meat in prepacted bags.. so, the people just have to take the meat and that's it. What will become of the permanent staff of the 'afdeling charcuterie and fresh Meat?!) We'll see on wednesday. The shop's closed now, 2 days for redecorating and so on.. so, i'll be going to the GB on wednesday! :D
- I'm gonna go now.. still a bit work to do (just for tomorrow hé!) pffff...
- My next song of the month will soon be posted! :)
- I'm starting off with a new post of the month.... and this will be called. The video of the Month! (quite original huh?!) :P
Bye!!! :)

The Night of the Proms.. ~28th of October
Last sunday I have been going to the Night of the Proms! It was a great afternoon we had. I went there with Natalie Bijl and we had a very pleasant day! There were again a lot of artist and off course Mr Karl was back again! We heard some great songs.. one of them the theme of Shindler's List (the sadest SONG ever.. by.. offcourse the great and genius John Williams!)
I heard the Romeo and Juliet theme of Prokovief.. The theme of Pirates of the Caribbean and another well-known theme songs.. We saw Macy Gray and she sung her greatest hit from a few years back.. We saw Kid Creole, Chic (famous band with some songs I knew!) there also was the famous 'night of the proms' choir, Fine Fleur who give out there best! A great surprise to see 'Soulsister' as well, a band from the 90's. I was surprised I even knew theire songs as well :P
We saw a Piano Virtuoos (don't know how it's in English tho..) but he could play the piano I assure you!! He even entered the Queen Elisabeth compitition as well.. so he's damn good.. We saw Robby Lakatosh, a very good violin player!
My overal conclusion of this day is thusfar.. there was a lot of classical music, more then last year.. so they did that right! (If it was my Night of the proms.. there wouldn't be ANY popmusic :P)
The visual effects were also a bit annoying.. (still special, but.. the 'special' wore off after 2 or 3 songs)
There wasn't a surprise act as wel.. that was a pity..
The artists were spectacular! But the fell out off tone between all the orchastra.. especially Kid Creole.. (he was good.. I liked him - he made me think of the Mask! with his special clothes and stuff..) But it seemed he didn't fitted into the theme of Night of the proms..
Like Macy Gray.. but the standerd of her microphone covered with diamonds was too much... :S (I know.. i'm jalous..) I really liked the 'duet' of Macy with Brown.. (nicely done!) though..
There wasn't a spectacular guest unfortunatly.. but hey, overall it was okay.. I think last year was a bit better though.. Who'd had thought I allready know of Soulsister.. there music was quite known too.. I sung with every one of them!
At a bit before 6 we took off at the trainstation. Last year we had to wait more then half an hour to get on a train, now we were one of the first ones! :D
The we finally get back home.. and we went for dinner in the Colmar.. (and what a nice restaurant that was!) WOW.. I really liked it, and it was good.. The perfect ending for a nice day :)
Thank You Natalie, and a Big Thank you for Natalie's Parents :)
Maybe next year...

Song of the month: *October*
Wake me up when september ends..
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
like my fathers come to pass
seven years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends
summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when september ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
like my father's come to pass
twenty years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends

The Marriage of the Century!
Finally we had our wedding.. after years of funerals, we finally had a wedding again, here in Deinze! And here is my report of this day..
At 14.45u we went to the church and welcomed members of the family outside.. a few minutes later more relatives showed up as well as Mic (very Handsome may I ad) I got many compliments about my dress and my looks as well .. well i did go to the hairdresser that morning and my hair looked fab!
Then! Then a bus arrived stopped at front of the church.. on the bus was written with big letters he name of bride and groom! The first relatives got out.. sisters and brothers.. then the mothers and fathers of the happy couple. (Off course uncle Ludwig still had his walking sticks..) and then finally the groom got out.. Jo! Looking handsome today.. and then.. Natalie walked out and bedazzeld us all with her gorgeous dress! It was beautiful! OMG.. I almost fainted! Gorgeous! We entered the church and got to our seats. I had to read so, I had to sit close to the front as well.. Natalie and Jo welcomed us on there special day and the Mass began. I took a lot of pictures, as well as Samir..
We heard a few nice songs throughout the mass.. but the best one was .. a song from Enya.. I was totally shocked! I didn't knew they'd use Enya as wel! So I was a bit delighted! On the tones of Caribbean Blue I drifted away.. (I just love that song!) After that, the rings finally got exchanged and there was the *now your husband and wife*-kiss. And finally everybody got out of church on the weddingmarch.. Outside there was a LOT of rice.. (isn't that dangerous for pigeons? ahwell..)
Natalie and Jo gave sweets to the little nephews and nieces (because they weren't invited for the big party) and then they were off!
Most people were then invited to our house for an afterdrink with the family.. it wasn't until 19.00u we couldn't leave for the party! So.. a bit of chips and a few glasses of juice & porto later.. (and a bit of intro for Mic) we leaved to Oostrozebeke.. (with Mic ahead :D)
We immediatly found Oostrozebeke and the restaurant the party was held! (And what a coincidence it was.. but I've been there as well! Because I had my training days there in my first first year!) So I recognised some spots as well :D
After a hug and kiss and a congratulations to the married couple.. we had our apperitief and chat with the family! About a half an hour later we got to our tables (ours was table 7) and I sat with all the 'youngers'.. (Gregory and g/f, Lieven and g/f, Dimitri, Samir and me and b/f) Crowded house! Then there was THE entry of the happy family and the happy couple :D and the traditional 'waving with towels'.. muh.. I couldn't see a thing. A few moments later we had our dinner served and very good it was! (photo's later ;) ).. we stayed at the table till 23.30u! I was getting tired already.. but then at midnight.. the bride and groom openend with a lovely dance.. and then it was FINALLY our turn to dance.. :D yes! Happy happy.. happy! I had to dance.. And for an hour and a bit.. I was on the dancefloor.. also for the first time a slow as wel! :D. Till 1 O'Clock we stayed and enjoyed the night. Unfortunatly Michael and I had to work the other day, so we had to leave early. (DAMN) but.. afterall.. It was faboulous and fantastic! *We want more*! And talk about another coincidence! It happens to be Jo knew Michaels family.. (he was in class with Mic's elder brother! Coincidence?? I think NOT!)
I really had a great time! There was a gorgeous bride.. a handsome groom.. a fantastic company (my love) and I heard Enya on this day as well! Nothing could go wrong.. Hopefully another Marriage soon? I put my guesses on Lieven and Iene :D *Gooooooo Lieven and Iene!*
Photo's are soon to be followed..
Love..
xxSara
If someone wants to organise a wedding as well.. (In Oostrozebeke) I'll recommend this restaurant who has great food// and a big hall with large dancefloor :P
