Micz and meez..

Dear blog...

Last saturday I went on a romantic date with my sweetheart! He invited me on a dinner and a movie :D.. We watched 2012.. (btw.. load of dissapointment). But first we went to dinner at the Chinese, I just love Chinese food! Mic's family sometimes order some take-away from the same restaurant, so it was very nice to go the restaurant.. I wore my new and smashing dress (from JBC.. you know.. that dress worn by Naomi Campbell :D) See below.. LOOOOVEEEELY dress huh!?? (that blue one that is..) and it looks like Mic was completely blown away from it too :D

Dinner was soo good! We had the MandarinMenu which was consistend of 4 courses! First some Kroepoek, then a lobstersoup, main course: choosing from 3 different plates: beef - chicken and big fried shrimps.. (I love these!) and with much rice too :).. mmm!! Lovely!!! I love restaurant Dynasty at Deinze.. If you want to know where it is: Located at Genstraat, Deinze.. :) Restaurant 5*****

Then we went to Ghent to see the movie 2012.. a not so good movie about 'the end of the world'... .brrr.. and yes it was cheesy and yes it was cliché.. and it yes it sucked big time. Even 'Knowing wasn't that bad!'.. dear oh dear.. and it lasted to 1 AM! Shite! Long long movie. But the company was the best part of it.. The occasion of this lovely night was our 2 year and 5 month anniversary.. and still in LOVE! Thank you Michael.. for the lovely night! I love you so much..

Got some nice new links for you too!!

Both links are great sites about cats (cheezburger) and dogs (hotdog), there are many many pictures of dogs and cats with hilarious captions! You will laugh your pants off! One to start of with.. I just love it!

Love..

Thank you.. thank you.. *takes bow*
Had my exam on mondaymorning at 8.15u pm.., an elderly man was my guide through a chosen path I did not know yet. Apperantly it was only driving at St Martens Latem!! I even drove by my school! LOOOL! No driving in Ghent whatsoever! And I passed, only a couple of mistakes about using the signlights and driving a bit more careful when pepole work on the streets..
And Natalie is cuming up next week :D .. all succes for her!! :)
Lovely to drive cars.. had to drive through Ghent yesterday: it
was dark, rainy and I was soo nervous! Thankfully found Mic's work immediatly.. or I was lost in Ghent. Mic parked the car at Ghent at my course 'Signing language'.. so it was my first time in Ghent alone. And today to work and back to home! (Without any crashes!) Yay!
I was a bit proud of myself for driving all by myself :P

This all thanks too Mic's dad, for keeping his patience with me :) and letting me drive his car.. now I have to get used to my/Mic's car :D

THANK YOU :)

take care people! even on the roads everywhere..

I'm really happy to have work.. Mic's very happy too! He even went there when he was young.. he did his fifth and sixt year at elementary school. Cool huh?!

A language not spoken..

Dear blog..

I have started the best thing ever since the invention of talking. It's sign language..
No.. i'm not really deaf or have a bad hearing.. (well over the latter can be discussed!) :P
I finally took the chance of particpating on a course in Ghent.. and it's just great.
It's every tuesday from 7.30PM to 9.30PM and we do lots of things.

Our teacher is called Monique and she is really deaf. She teaches it very good.. the 2 hours fly by every time. I'm in my first year, and it's about 4 years.. so i'm pretty hooked. There are many people from students to even pshycologists.. only 2 teachers, me and onother (but she's from highschool) I allreay met 2 nice girls and there are even boys! There are about 25 peeps every time.

And it sure is a beautiful language! Maybe I will upload a vid of me when doing signlanguage and show everything I learned allready :D hmm.. maybe :D

We started with the alphabet and now we're doing non stop signing, from introducing yourself to tell about your family.. and so on! It started in October and goes on till April. I hope to achieve this dream to use signing language in education in a few years from now.. :) See the Flemish alphabet here:

Want some more information about Signlanguage?
1. I'm learning the Flemish Sign Language.
2. There are different types of Signing even in the Flemish parts of Belgium.. they even have some kinds of 'dialects', and in different parts of Belgium some signing is sometimes a bit different.
3. So you can understand that also every country has it's signing language!
4. What is Signing Language? Says Wiki:
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebarentaal (dutch.. but also in English ;) )
5. Where am I taking my courses?
http://www.fevlado.be/index.aspx?wensen=True
6. Why did I start taking this? Well.. in my sixt year of High School I had to do an EndPaper about 'Language development'.. of children. In that paper I spend a part talking about 'Bad developments and bad hearing/Deaf children..) in my research on that I was really so interested by everything I saw on the subjects! I went to see logopedists and I even thought about going in to University to become a logopedist ! Till this day.. i'm still find it a pity I didn't do that.. ah well. A couple of years ago, I was every time too late to apply to this course, but this year I was sooo fast :P and I'm in :D
7. Flemish Signing language on the internet:

Moya Brennan @ The Wouwse Plantage Holland..

Hiii Blog!!

(Quote from MoyaBrennansForum)

Moya's concert was just last night and it was just fantastic! It had everything (except one thing!) The atmosphere was splendid.. the Dutch people were very enthousiastic! One even shouted she loved her! And off course Moya answered even that too.
The only thing was the terrible cold of the tent.. Even on stage the band had to endour low temperatures.. (moya jumping a bit up and down too :p) It was a 2hour and a bit performance and she did most songs from past tours..

like Eleonor Plunkett
Mrs McDermott
Tara
Magical ring
the robin hood series.
against the wind
only one from Signature Many faces..
O' Mhuirnin o.. (we had to sing that too!)
Dulamann
Two sisters.. (everyone sang to the refrain of it )
She even did 2 duets with Sinead Madden! 2 Gaelic songs.. (I cannot put the words right down) In a Lifetime.. (without bono too bad.. )
Perfect time.

There was a very nice new harpplayer I didn't recognize.. but she was so good! And it was just the 3rd time she played with the band..

Nice treats:
She moved through the fair.. as a starter..
I will find you..
Tell me now.. (very nice one!) and so on..

There was a very nice video been played on the background.. showing images from Ireland, the King Arthur movie, Robin of Sherwood and so on.. At the end she got even 2 standing ovations!! But she really had diserved it! Because it was sooooo good! The encore were even 2 songs! I didn't knew the songs but they were from the first 2 clannad albums.. One song from the first album and the second from the second album.. She was very funny and open to the audience.. it was a pleasure being there.. even if it was freezing cold in the tent..

Afterwards.. the many, many people wanted her autograph off course! Me too.. She was nice like ever We had a nice conversation about the concert.. (it was one of the best ones I have been too really) I was a bit of an idiot standing there off course.. i even was a bit embarrassed to get a picture.. lucky my boyfriend pushed me a bit and we stood at the back of the line again.. just for the picture.. Am I bad or what?? :S.. She just said I had to ask if I wanted.. and not to be shy like that..

There were just beautifull posters too!! Not too big.. (A3 format..) One with the photo from signature.. you know.. the nice close up.. and one with a picture from a past concert.. Even Fantasyval made some beautfull big posters to announce the concert.. (they were all over on the streets of Wouw and Ossendrecht!) Very lovely.. !!)

I am still a bit impressed by last nigt!!!! Thank you Moya for the great night and the very good concert!!! It was defintly a cold night to remember in Bergen-Op-Zoom We stayed over and with our tickets we could enter Fantasyval for one day too! Very very nice..

Piccies!

A whole birthdayweek just for me!

Dear blog..

I'm feeling like a 100 million dollar princess! I just had the best week EVER! And it's not over yet.
It all happend when Mic decided to get his holiday in the week when i'm celebrating my birthday! On the 24th of September I turned 24.. old huh!?

Sunday..
Last sunday this whole thing started when Mic allready gave me my present! It was a very expensive ring! A Whitegolden ring with Zirkones on the side.. Very very very beautifull! It only was a bit to big on the finger.. so we had to go on monday to the shop.
- It was nodriving day in Ghent.. so we went there with Valentijn and Carolien, we walked the whole day! And I got a very nice card from them :)

Monday..
Mic stayed home for the rest of the week:
- We cleaned the house from head to toe.. I did the dishes and the ironing.
- We went to the Washingshop and had a lot of wash!
- We drove around in Deinze :)
- We had lunch in the cocoon :)
- We went to the shop only to hear the ring will be finished on next saturday..

Tuesday..
- A nice picknick with Mic at the water :D
- Walking round with Mic like I was his shadow.. missing my ring.

Wednesday..
- We did some shopping with Mic's mom.
- I went babysitting at my Dad's.. (he didn't even mention to the kids it was my birthday.. )
- Mic's father buyed me Chinese dinner :)
- Got a nice present from my mother and brother! Thanks sweeties!

Thursday..
- We went to the Efteling.
- We had lunch at the 'Bolero' Deinze.. (very good Belgian Fries restaurant!)
- Loving my man soo much! :)

Friday..
- We went picknicking in Ghent and strolled around a bit.
- We did some shopping for Mic's mum :)

Saturday.. (today)
- Gonna pick up my ring :)
- Going for dinner with Natalie at the Colmar!

What a very very very busy week right!!??
And a couple of schools called me too, so I have next week (3 days) of work. Yay!

Well.. it's not quite new, it's a very best of, so if your dissapointed.. Don't be! You'd rather have something then nothing by lady Enya right??

I just saw it on Enya.com and there's allready a cover of the new best of!
Be dazzled by the new cover of 'The Very Best of Enya'
Coming out on November the 16th!!

The joke of Belgium..

Dear Blog..

I forgot to mention about Kim Clijsters recent game at the US open.. The misses from Bree actually won the US open! Wow! Not only a few weeks after the great game between Serena and Kim.. (she totally whoopassed Serena in the semi finals!) but another Belgian Tennis legend has announced she will be coming back to the proffesional world of tennis! Yes, yes.. Justine Henin wants to come back! After a year and a half of absence she will be returning.. Let everyone of the tennis world be on his guard! Cos team Clij-Henin is going to crush everybody. I only wondered why Justine is suddenly announcing her comeback.. So many reasons, but which one is the right one?
The one question on my mind if this whole situation is making Belgium look like a laughing stock? Are we still been taking serious with this whole situation? I just think of the remarks of what Americans would say with such things, and not only them. Ah well... the whole conclusion must be that Belgian is to be set on a map once again in the world of tennis. Yay.

love.

He was best known for his actingcareer, including films like Dirty Dancing and Ghost..
I would like to give my condoleances to his family and give a tribute to him on this blog.. the song that best suits I can think of is off course from his best movie ever: 'Ghost'.. Unchained melody.. a memory to a great actor, dancer, singer, handsome and so on.. The world looses a nice man :)

And third:
We have some news from the Brennan world!
- Miss Enya is presenting her new 'Best Of Album' (with no official name yet) on the 16th of November.. (and also something with a cool DVD)
This album has handpicked songs by Enya from all her albums. Including her most favourite songs ever. (Fingers crossed for 'Caribbean blue and Boadicia'.. my favs from Enya)
- Mrs Moya is going to a cool festival in Roosendaal in the Netherlands. She's to perform as an opening on the 16th of October on the festival 'Fantasyval'. (http://www.fantastyval.nl/index.html) So i'm sooo going and I ordered the tickets allready :)
The thing is.. it's not that far from Essen! (you know.. where we had our camping 'De Wildertse Rust'. and it's not that far from Kalmthout too)

And fourth..

It's nearly my birthday and I'm not sure what age i'll be.. today I thought '23' but actually it is '24' or is it not?

Rubik's Cube

Dear blog...

I have a little announcement to make!

Do you know a thing called Rubiks Cube? No?

Well.. as wiki says it:
The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture ErnÅ‘ Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube",the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980 and won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes have sold worldwide making it the world's top-selling puzzle game. It is widely considered to be the world's best-selling toy. In a classic Rubik's Cube, each of the six faces is covered by 9 stickers, among six solid colours (traditionally white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow).A pivot mechanism enables each face to turn independently, thus mixing up the colours. For the puzzle to be solved, each face must be a solid colour. Similar puzzles have now been produced with various numbers of stickers, not all of them by Rubik. The original 3×3×3 version celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2005.
As I say it..
It's a 3D puzzle in square shape with lots of colors and lots of sides. The thing is you have to get each side with one color doing by switching and switching alot.

Well Mic has a Rubiks cube in his room and I finally did it.. I showed myself I can do this!

I got ONE side of the cube in ONE color.. (Ain't I great?)

For the next side to be in one color you got to have some patience.. could be a year or something!
You know what? Mic's personal best is a smashing 3 sides!

Is it me or is this thing telling me i'm an idiot?

grr

Our holiday from 2 august to 8 august 2009

Hello, sweet blog! :)
I'm back with some more things that has happend in my life! :)

First of all, Mic and I went camping in Belgium,.. We went to numerous places and have seen a lot of things. some of the campings were really good and nice.

Sunday the second of August.. (the day before we even did a garagesale)
We finally got to go on our trip with our new car... The day began with a huge rainfall!! We went to Antwerp, the capital of the province Antwerp :) It's a huge city with lots of shops that can only be found in big cities.. We even found the big mother of 'Kruidvat'.. (enormous store!) We strolled around at the big shoppingstreets, but unfortunatly it was pouring a bit.. and we didn't stay for too long, also because most of the shops were closed and there was a lot of commotion going on, apperantly there was runningmatch going on called the Iron Man.. We did waved at the multiple helicopters flying by.. (anyone spotted us? :P) Info 'bout: (http://www.antwerpen.be/)

After Antwerp we went further to Kalmthout, http://www.kalmthout.be/fb111spae1017tkqb1tkqb187.aspx)
(a place where I needed to go because of the 'Klasse compition I entered..' (this compitions includes going to several museums and get a stamp of every one of them (5) and 3 museums of differnt provinces were needed..)
So Mic and I went to the 'bee - museum' (http://www.bijenteeltmuseum.be/) and then also to the Arboretum (http://www.provant.be/vrije_tijd/domeinen/arboretum_kalmthout/) (the arboretum was a huge garden with lots of trees, plants and butterflies!) The weather was just great the next day!
We stayed that night for the very first time in a real tent! Well.. it was my first time.. and I had to say, I was a bit cold in the morning, but I slept very good!
We placed our tent at a nearby camping (http://www.dewildertserust.be/) at Essen.
Good things about the camping:
- nice place to put our tent.
- very calm and peacefull
- not expensive -> the cheapiest one of all our campings!
- A place close to the sanitary block.
Bad things about the camping:
- bugs flying in and out the shower :p
- a very cool bathroom.. (that happens when the door stays open!)
The one thing we didn't go to, (shame us!) was the 'Kalmthoutse Heide'.. A big forestlike park.. oh well.. another time!

After we cleared everything up.. (one nite only!) we headed firstly to the Arboretum and then to Turnhout (http://www.turnhout.be/ ) and strolled around abit.. I thought Turnhout was going to be a bit more interesting, but it wasn't so we didn't stay for too long.. and drove to our next camping.. it was almost 7 PM so.. we did drive in circles to find our next camping where we stayed for 2 days.. This camping was located at Opoeteren.
Good things about:
- nice place - lots to see/to do - even very childfriendly! (kindergarten - playfield..)
- you can buy nice food at the diner.
- VERY nice sanitary (A++)
- Water supplies: through a magnetkindofthing we could use water from our money. We got thing thing with 25 euro's on it, but had to pay 50 euro's in total (incl. guarantee) pfff.. the thing was the euro's we had left on our magnetkindofthing we got back. (in total we spend about 5 euro's for use of water - mostly shower/washing hands)
Bad things about:
- the most expensive one!
- we had to get another magnetkindofthing to use the portal to get in and out with our car! (and had to pay also another guarantee for that too!)
- I think it was about 40 euro's..
- It was a bit complicated.. :O
- The people were very loud...
After we set up the tent we went to Maaseik and walked around.. (http://www.maaseik.be/)
The next day we left our tent (empty) and went to Genk, to Bokrijk (http://www1.limburg.be/bokrijk/index.html) This huge outdoor museum about life '100 years ago' was very good! We enjoyed ourselves bigtime! This museum had it all.. reallife actors acting different scenes - animals - old buildings - nice views - 'old' things to eat and to buy - 'old' proffesions - 'old' games to play and so on.. It was beautifull and interesting!
Afterwards we went to Hasselt and ate something there :) (http://www.hasselt.be/) Unfortunatly every shop/museum/park was nearly closed at the time - so we didn't do alot.. Only to shop at a comic book store not far from the center :P.. (At mics ask off course) and I brought a couple of Suske and Wiske with me.

That next day we traveled some more, cos our last stop was at Marche en Famenne. We did a couple of stops :)
- First of all : Tongeren. (http://www.tongeren.be/main.html) We saw a lot of things over there and I visited a museum there: 'Gallo - Romeins museum'. And stayed there quite long.. It was a really big museum and quite interesting too.
- Then we went to Francorchamps (yes the Racecircuit too) and watched a couple of motorcycles driving at insanly high speed, it just hurted my ears (and head too) But Mic didn't notice the loud noise whatsoever.. he was more into drooling over all those shiny, nice, fast bikes..
- Then we went to Coo/Stavelot. and saw the secondbiggest waterfall of Belgium. (it was about 15 metres high) Plopsa Coo is also at the waterfall, but we didn't go there nono.. :P The water was cool and fresh! The stones did hurt.
- The next stop had to be Durbuy - but we traveled instead to our Camping at Marche (because we had lost too much time)
Our next camping was 'Euro camping Paola' (http://www.campingpaola.be/) where we stayed for 2 nites.
Good things:
- Nice - big camping.
- Not that expensive
- Good sanitary
Bad things:
- we were located at a playground for children and they made lots of noise!
- the second day the sun was really shining very hard and we didn't had any shade.. (except from our car)
The following day we went to Han - Sur - Lesse.. to the Grottes of Han. (http://www.grotte-de-han.be/)
The time we spent there was very good and interesting. The grottes/caves we entered were so nice and big. We saw a lot of things even a lightshow and a room filled with Enya's music.. quite empressive to wander about, in a hall so far from the above ground..
We did everything, the grottes, the wildpark, the speleogame and so on!
After that we drove around Marche en famenne.. A nice city and went to bed quite early.. (aaargh.. children!)

The next day we went to Dinant, a very beautiful city (http://www.dinant.be/) and spend a whole day exploring the city. It's citadel, it's cave, a boattrip on the Maas, and so on.. what a nice city!
Then we headed for our last camping of our holiday.. it was a camping at Durnal that was called 'Le pommier Rustique'. (http://www.camping-durnal.net/)
The next day Valentijn came over and we went kayaking on the Lesse.. (12 km!) It was about 3 to 4 hours we spent on the water.. my arms still hurts! The bad thing that happend was the loss of Valentijns photocamera.. :S a big pity.
We said goodbye to Valentijn at the Dinant station and spend our last nite in the tent and our camping:
Good things:
- Privacy: with bushes on both sides.
- a nice view.
- Big camping - Dutch speaking manager!
- Not very expensive.
Bad things:
- We were on the side close to a street, it wasn't a busy one.. But mostly busses and trucks passed along with lots of noise off course.
- the manager forgot my face and asked me again if I had payed.. at the looks of Michael he did remember.. (Do I like sooo common??)

Aargh... the next day.. the final day... the day we *had* to go home... (sh*t)
I had a very good trip! I loved it, and Micheal enjoyed it too.
Our final stop, before we headed home was 'Eigenbrakel/ Waterloo (http://www.waterloo.be/)
Home of the famous lion and the battle vs the French with Napoleon and so on...
To our surprise there was something like a themepark (http://www.waterloo1815.be/en/waterloo/ ) we did the whole thing!
- The steps to the lion (about 400)
- The movie/information
- The bus
- The museum
- The shop
and so on...
It was nice and I learned a lot!

Wow!
This holiday couldn't be any better.. But with the help of our car (and Michael!) we did a lot of things! Thank you sweetie to come along!

Soo this was it.. then we were home.. it was a bit dissappointed to be back.. but a bit happy. :) Soo we are officially Happy campers!!

Maybe next year again :)
Love..
xxSara

Hi everyone!! :)

I'm back with some more news of the world of me :)

First of all, an icon has died and I would like to give my sympathy to the family, friends of Michael Jackson..
He was a very good artist, I could enjoy his music, but wasn't really a big fan of him.
I heard most of his music through my dad, cos he was the biggest fan around the house. I was raised with 'Bad' and 'Thriller'.
Although recently he lived a strange/ almost a hermit kind of life. I think he will be missed.
The song that's now 'leaking' on the net is a very nice one actually!

Nothing much happend this month..
I worked at the Snipper again, the days were hard and sometimes long. But I still like to work with children from that age. I go there a gastling 6 years allready! That's a real long time! I know most children, they are soo nice and sweet, sometimes a bit -yeah- difficult to handle. But most of the time I guess parents are to blame... :S
Children of these days are so different than like 6 years ago! The can be more aggressive, have bad behaviour problems, swear a lot, have an 'attitude' that is sometimes very horrible.. But when you play with them like individual games, you can see they are a bit more comfortably then when in group of very kinds of boys/girls..
In Snipper there are sometimes too many children, so I had to give a artsactivity for nearly 40 children and had to use a microphone! A part of me thougt something went totally wrong there! :S
But afterall, i'm still happy going there, I like the collegues, the children alot :). And now i get better payed too! :)
And everyone knows I can use the money a lot... :)

Because!!!
I and Mic bought A CAR!!!! :)
Well, Mic provided most of the money so technically it's his.. but he likes to say it's OUR car :)
just yesterday we got all the papers ready, got our plate for the cars and went back to the garage to pick our car up! (we were supposedly going to get it on friday) but with everything in order (like insurances and money and contracts and so on..) we got it yesterday..
Not only it was a fantastic day today, but it was a kind of black day for me as well.. I completely failed my drivers exam.. (
'@"##§^è!ç) grrrrrrrrr.... So no drivers license today.. I'm a bit dissapointed, but I guess it was too expect! People never get trough their first exam! Mostly it's just about money.. grrr.. Ah well.. next time :)
But too see the positivness here are some pictures of our new car!! :)

So we are the proud owners of a Mazda 6 :)
love!

Bonjour!

(Bonjour means hello in French)

Why am I talking French on an English blog?

Because I went to the French part of Belgium today.. (Le wallonie, or Wallon) In the providence of Namur (See Namen, the -almost- bottem part of Belgium)

I went there with Mic and Mic's dad on the occasion of Mic's diving training.

It's a place called Platte Taille and it's a huge lake for any diving fans.. in the middle of the lake there's a sunken helicopter, a bus, a tractor and even a mobile phone.. (just try to find that!)

With his diving club The Zeeroos (Searose) http://www.zeeroos.be/Page113029.htm
he got there with other cars (an hour and half driving and it was fekking early!)

It's a beautifull landscape, huge lake and dam and lots of fellow divers!
Mic has gotten into diving a few months back (October I think it was) he has now got his first star (that means he's done a couple of diving with his instructor and so on.. He allready took his exam to get his second star and he got it through a couple of practical things he had to do.. now he only has to achieve somewhere in the 20 divings to obtain his second star! It's quite difficult no? Well.. it's sometimes really confusing me!

In the meanwhile I went driving with Mic's Dad over a couple of mountanies hills.. It looks like i'm having a problem while driving down the hill now instead of climbing the hill with the car.. The old Mazda did a couple of VERY weird noises!
oooh.. whatever.. I will be carefull with our new car.. (and will not ride in the hills ever!

greetings!

A CAR!!!!

Hello everyone!
Some exciting news from today!
I bought together with my Boyfriend today..
a real, new, used, secondhand car that looks like new!
Whieeee...
I'm really excited! It's not a small car like I always wanted (a Peugeot 206 light blue) but it's a supersized MAZDA from Ghent. The right name for it's model is: MAZDA 6 Break and it's really huge!
But I allready like it.. because it's so nice and shiny and has a lovely brownish - greenish color!
So.. Mic and I are the proud owner of our own vehicle!
I will probably use it most of the time, cos I need to go to school on places where even no bus goes.
so... here is a picture!
On the note: This is not the right color! Our car has a brown-green look.. Our car comes from that same garage as this car.. at Julien: http://www.julien.be/v2/home/ or see http://www.mazda.be/

Now only my drivers permit and i'm on the road! greetz..

A question for you all!

We are planning (for at least another 2 to 3 years..) a trip to America..

We wanted to buy a second hand used car for 2 (or maybe 3) months and drive through North America..

What I wanted to ask if there are places a Belgian tourist HAS to see in America??

Mic and I are looking for some good ideas to go see in the US!

I will list and update my ideas from today to the day we really go! :)

If you have any suggestion please tell me, leave comment and so on..!

Thank you very much..

The things I want to see:

- The city of MIAMI! ... As a huge fan of CSI Miami.. I sure HOPE I will see David Caruso in a HUMMER when I'm there lying on the beach frying up. Are there any other things there?

- I wanna go to SEA WORLD, DISNEYWORLD and other attraction parcs... (Thinking of doing this too in Miami or San Diego)

- I'd love to see the Weeki Wachee Mermaids.. (http://weekiwachee.com/main/) as seen a couple of years ago on the Belgian tv.. 'Salmon for Corleoni'

- Visiting Vancouvers Island and Britisch Colombia (I KNOW this is actuatlly Canada.. but wasn't it too close too the North America border?)
Thanks for the help!
Greetings!
Sara

Pardon my Absence..

Hi folks, and my dearly beloved Blog...
First of all... I want to apologise for my long absence.. I had much work to do! And I must say i've missed this place.
How's my life so far? (well you missed out most of March and April, so here it is!)
- I worked the whole time! Yay me.. it's a school in Kluisbergen (Ruien) and it's called 'De Start'. theire site.. (with also a lot of photo's by me) http://www.gbskluisbergen.be/
Just see.. 2e kleuterklas at Ruien

It started from 'the end of march till the end of the schoolyear' Just two more weeks and it's completely over.. Too bad actually.. I kinda liked the school and the people in it.. The children in my class (20) were a bit of a challenge, there are a couple of difficult kids.. but thankfully these things gotten better after a couple of weeks. It's very nice to get such interims.. I like these more than just work for a couple of hours in this or that school. Since I still got no car (or drivers license) I had to use the public transportation to get to Ruien.. (that means 2 busses, one at 6.50AM to get at Ruien at 7.50AM. Ah well.. I like busses (sometimes, when they are ON time!) I kinda reflect my day at that time or fall asleep.

Here 's my classphoto! (there are 3 kids missing that day.. too bad huh!?) There are 20 children, 10 boys and 10 girls, 12 children from the second class and 8 children from the first class..
Well.. in the beginning I didn't know where Kluisbergen was, so I said yes, maybe a little bit too early! See what i have to do! It's about 30 km.. I live in Deinze see red circle, and have to go to Kluisbergen.. that's almost in our Wallon side! (The French speaking part of Belgium)

- Nothing much happend rond here.. more problems at Mic's work unfortunatly..
  • A couple of parties and garagesales that I had to attend.
  • Do much, much, much work in the weekends for school..
  • Do much, much, much work at school during the week
  • I did see 'Angels and Demons' at the cinema about a month ago.. (good movie btw!)
  • I met Valentijns new girlfriend :)
  • Mic and I went away with his (ex)collegues to a nice restaurant..
  • Mic and I went on a bicycle tour with his friend.
  • I missed and thought about Belfast a couple of times..
  • I lost the bet... (you know what i'm talking about!)
  • There has been a Belgian Primeur! A tiny little elephant was born...

  • We are kind of planning our trip to the Northsea. (Like Blankenberge and Koksijde..)

  • Oh! On the first day of June I went on a beautifull trip to Kluisbos with my Mic! (that's also in Kluisbergen..) they have a very very nice outdoor pool!! http://www.kluisbos.be/ I soooo enjoyed myself over there.. and I was quite tanned too!

  • And that's about it!
See you guys later!!!!!!!!!!!!
kiss.

March update..

Hi everyone! :)

Long time no see.. Although I have been checkin this blog quite often to see how many visitors I got :P somtimes it's very funny to see that everwhere in the world people are visiting me, but are not leaving any messages unfortunatly!
Well this post is about everything that happend since my last post :)
I have been working every day! I worked till the end of February in the Leiebloem in Machelen...
After springbreak I worked on a halftime in Eke.. There I also had a student who did a lot of things! She did well..

This was only till the 19th of March.. In the meantime I had some days off and I worked at Oudenaarde as a substitute for the gymteacher.. For 3 days I had to work in 2 different schools in Oudenaarde as a gymteacher.. at the end I really got a very very bad backache!! damn it... I couldn't do anything anymore.. It was terrible, couldn't get up, couldn't sit down, couldn't do this or that.. It was terrible! And it lasted almost til the end of the week... dear oh dear.. (And my last day was on monday, so it lasted for ages... I still have a little bit of backache.. Not good.

Today and since yesterday i'm feeling very bad again.. pffff.. i have a very bad soar throat... headache, mustleache... it hurst everywhere!! I was so sad I couldn't go to work today.. I was in school in Evergem yesterday but it was such a bad day that at the end I had to cry so much.. I was feeling very bad...Thankfully Michael came that night and comforted me soo much.. I still love him :)

Some other news:
- on the 14th of February we had a special day.. it was Valentines day!! Whieee.. I surprised Mike with a trip to a unknown destination.. :)
We went to Kortrijk to a Vietnamese restaurant!! :) It was called Kim Quy.
It was very good, nice and so on.. :) Mike enjoyed himself so much! It was a very very very good day..
http://www.restopages.be/nl_s/kortrijk+restaurant/kim-quy_Resto45574476507d8.php

- A week later we went to an Irish bar in Ghent which had a very very nice day! It was U2 day! When you came, you got the new cd of U2 for free!! You only had to eat a small 3 course dinner for only 20 euros!! :)
The bar was called 'Foley's pub' and I think it was so so..
http://www.foleys.be/

We had to wait for hours just to get our dinner.. I was a bit pissed off.. We had an appointment at 2 o' clock and had our dinner only at 4 o' clock!! The place was packed.. The waiters were pushing you aside and when you asked when to get our tables we only got a 'you will be called'.. But nothing whatsoever.. So we went to the restaurant and waited and asked when to get our tables again.. then they finally suited us at a table with 2 other persons... I was a wee bit angry.. Mike only thought that the place didn't organise this too well..

In fact so did I. The pub called me like 3 times to ask me for my money (and I didn't knew I got in the reservation in the first place!) So.. I was a little bit disappointed... but the food was good... the atmosphere was very good too! there was a live band playing U2 songs and tv screens playing a couple of U2 concerts.. By the end of the day we finally got our cd's.. we even got 2, (each for one customer) it was either 2 cd's or one cd and a coupon of 15 euro's.. But chose the cd's :p...

- By the end of February Mic and I started a bet :D.. I had to stop de nailbiting and Mic had to stop going to the hairdresser.. So.. were allready at our 22 days :).. And still counting! Mic's hair is already curling... and my nails are.. well, getting longer. (juk)

- On the 14th of March we had a whole day of Micday!! Because my dear 'young' love was having his birthday today!! :)

First of all..

Happy Birthday to you.. Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday to Michael.. Happy Birthday to you!!

Hip hip? Hurray!!! :)

And I had a little surprise for him!

We went to ... the ... ZOO!!! :)

Oh yeah! The Zoo of Antwerp offcourse :D
http://www.zooantwerpen.be/

We had a very very good day!! We saw a lot of beasts.. loud ones, ugly ones.. Pretty ones, cute ones.. They had every kind of animals. Michael was impressed by the Mountain gorillas and I wanted to see the Kookaburra! :)

I'm not really happy with things that happens in the zoo.. So did the lions did not had any room to go walk around and so did the tigers.. I was really sad about that.. There are a few things that has to change for these animals!

There really were a lot of animals (except for Orca's and dolphins).. But we had a whole day to see them all!! From tiny little fishies to big sealions!

Too bad it was a bit rainy.. there was a bit of sun in the morning but soon vanished.. that was the only downside.. :s

Afterwards we even went to the quick and had a big lunch! Then we strolled around for an hour and went back to the station to get our train. At 8ish we were back home!

What a nice day it was!!!! :)

Love..
Sara
