The past few weeks in Eurovision land..

 A quote I cannot unsee:

I mean.. this quote is actually the title of the song that Bulgaria contributed to the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST..

GROWING UP is GETTING OLD...

And.. ain't it the darn truth???

More on eurovision: in a nutshell:

- great show - hosted by the Netherlands..

- Revelation of the year: Presenter of ESC Nikkie - from youtube.. a really welcome surprise and a 'surplus' on the whole shazam.. she outglamoured all the rest of them presenters.. really!

- Italy won.... by a longshot.. wasn't even in my top 15..

- My favorites - Switzerland and Iceland where in the top 5.. did not win.. pffff..

- Iceland had to 'drop' out cause of ALLERGIES.. (I mean - Corona) and got to a 4th place with only rehearsel material.. REHEARSEL MATERIAL! Damn.

- Belgium did a 'booboo' again.. sending Hooverphonic - but hey.. we WERE in the finals!

- The UK got NOTHING - not a single point.. (that was nasty)

- A lot of nice songs this year too!

- I finally watched - Eurovision: The story of Fire SAGA

ESC: see you next year!!! :)

RIP Eric Carle... aka mister The very hungry caterpillar..

Sad news from the children's authors world..

Eric Carle - father of the hungry caterpillar and many many many other childrens books has passed away a couple of days ago at the blessed age of 91..

As stated on his facebookpage:

From the Eric Carle Team: It is with heavy hearts that we share that Eric Carle, author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other beloved classics, passed away on Sunday, May 23rd at the age of 91.
When asked why he thinks The Very Hungry Caterpillar has remained popular for so long, Carle said, “I think it is a book of hope. Children need hope. You, little insignificant caterpillar can grow up into a beautiful butterfly and fly into the world with your talent.”
Thank you, Eric Carle for sharing your great talent with so many generations of young readers

He will always be rememberd and will be never forgotten.. daily kindergartenteachers from all over the world use his books to tell stories to all (small) ages.. He will be amongst those other great passed away authors.. like Dick Bruna (from Nijntje - Miffy) who i also very much love..

Thank you mr Carle - for your mark on this world. You did great.

Songs stuck in my head...

 This one..

the WHOLE FREAKING MORNIN'.....

Why do i have a feeling this is some rip off from a Disney song?? (I mean.. a disney song inspired by this?)

Wow.. too much overthinking these days..

Wait for it.. Someday I will find a disney song that resembles this song.

===>>>> EDIT...
What about this disney song?

A wee bit no?

Do you have a moment to talk about... Joe Lycett?

 Oh yes please do!

I adore Joe.. you know!

He's absolutely funny as hell.

Some background on him..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lycett

I love his sense of style, his comedic timing, well just everything!

He is just hilarious!

I recently watched some clips on the Youtube.. even a whole show.

I have to say, in all he does, he's quite original..

even in naming his own shows..

"that's the way, Joe Lycett".. (see what he did there?)

Or - "I'm about to loose control and I think Joe Lycett" :D

He also tries to defend the 'little men'.. in his other show; "Joe Lycett has your back" he defends the regular (wo)man.. the consumers problems.. but in his own way.. he takes on the rather F*Up system.. scammers - and so on..

He is also quite legendary in writing emails.. Would love to learn a thing or two of writing funny, catchy, state of the art -laughinyourface- emails. Sigh.. :D

So yes.. this post is dedicated to this great guy..

He's among those other famous funny peeps like.. Graham Norton.

Well..

I actually only know a few ones..

- Alex Agnew and Wouter Deprez are my favs too. (Belgian comedians)

And you know..

the world can use a lot of laughter these days..

Comedy is on my list of must-haves!

Hubbie can be quite the comedian too.. that's what I love about him!

And now.. some memes to end this rather comedic post :P

Would love to have some translation on that!
I think it's quite a thing this 'doth butter no parsnips'.. just like: TGIF ? maybe :P

Love..
Keiko
