Almost back to school...

That's what it said.. *Almost* back to school.. Sounds awfull isn'it? Pfff... The vacation could've lasted longer I think.. It was so fast! OMG and it's the best summerbreak I ever had!!! And I really, really mean it! And that b/c of Michael :D (yes YOU!) I had a wonderful vacation.. and I don't want it to be spoiled with something called 'school'.. so.. I want to go on strike! no LOL, just kidding!

The thought of nearly going to school is petrifiing me though. Especially next week and the week after that (with our first day of training day.. we still don't now where we supposed to be :/) and i'm going again on a *assertiviteitscursus* in Kortrijk (I did that once.. but had to drop out of them b/c of illness and stuff)
My work at Olsene is almost over as wel.. it has been a loud week so far, with more then 77 childrens! Lots of kids huh! ahwel.. only 4 days left and they're off to school as wel,.. and to think they all WANT to go to school! :D
I had in the beginning of the week something soo strange! On monday I noticed the card from Natalie and Jo's wedding on the *Snipper wall* a bit awkward that was! I asked around and Hilde said Jo was the son of one of my co-workers!! What the hell?! She wasn't working that thay, but the next day I said something about it to her, and she was like.. "What?!" and 'No way!' :D soooo strange that was.. *thinks of song: it's a small world afteral* (By Disney) So funny that also was! :D
And I have great news as well :D: I don't know for sure if I mentioned this already.. but I got my full wardrobe ready for Natalie's wedding!! (except for the shoes.. :/) and you know what! :D It's a beautiful purple dress and it's bought by my lovely sweetie :D (thanks again btw (kusje)) So.. i'll be stealing a show as well :D.. *Does little happy dance* :D and he'll be joining me as well :D
And some more greater news! Natalie asked me if I would read a few sentences in the Mass in Church!! I'll be delighted! What a great honor for me :).. I'm sooooooooooo looking forward to the Marriage next week.. absolutly.. I think I'll be asking on the afterparty who's going to wed next :D.. I heard rumours about Natalie's older sister Natasha.. (nvdr: die al 2 kinderen heeft en een 3e onderweg) will also do a little ceremony for her wedding!! Whaaaaauuwwww!! Awesome!! So.. let me think.. maybe nephew Lieven will mary next? or maybe nephew Gregory? So anxious to know :D..
Aah... Weddings.. if it wasn't all that money and commitmentsthingies.. I'd wed every year! :P LOL.. I am going to cry I think... I love weddinggowns and dresses!! (and *ahem*.. i'm going to cry with jalousy that is :P) LOL!! I'm going to have a GREAT time! Shit.. I have to work the day after.. :/ ahwell.. we'll see about that! :P
This weekend i'm not going to work either! There's a lot to do over at Nevele (a garagesale *rommelmarkt*) I'll be going there as well :) oh yeah.. I just love garagesales :D (but not when I have to SIT there :/.. sooo boring :S)
Well.. that's it for now.. see you soon!
love..

Luxemburg 20-22 august 2007

Hi everyone!
Welcome again on my special place on the net, my BLOG.. today's feeding is the story of our holiday in Luxemburg. We went 3 days with busCompany 'Flamingo' (from Harelbeke) on a trip to Luxemburg: Clerveaux-Vianden-Echternach. We had a great time! We did a lot of things, we saw a lot of things and we ate GOOD! (Yep.. the dinner eacht time was HUGE) So here's the story..

At 4.30u in the morning we had to wake up, cos at 5.30 we were going to pick up by the buscompany (the small bus who'd take us to Harelbeke) I was in a bad mood.. (jep.. I hate mornings!) after the bus was more than 5 minutes late, we we're brought in Harelbeke. A lot of people gathered around the big (PINK!) bus :D and there were about 40 people who were starting to get in. The're were a lot of old people too.. but one boy of 10 years old, (who was the youngest!) I sat alone on the bus (missed Mic already!) and we set sail to Luxemburg.. We stopped firstly at a tankstation in Spy after an hour our 2 (read Spie, lays closely by Namur) and had a smal breakfast there. a hour or 2 later we went to Bastogne.. we had the chance to stretch our legs. And 2 hours later we arrived at our Hotel (Hotel International ****) in Clerveaux. A beautiful hotel in the center of Clerveaux. Clerveaux lies in a huge valley(*een dal in NL) so everytime we had to get out of this pit and traveled on a mountain.. ( read hill) We got our (great and lovely) room (WITH JACUZZI) at the hotel and headed out for our lunch at the hotel's restaurant. The lunches were great! And about 4-courses each time we ate.

After our lunch we headed for Vianden, a small little village not far from Clerveaux. We did some shopping there and went for a ride on the big 'escalator-sofa' or how do you call this?? (*een Zetellift in NL) we went up a mountain on this escalator, it was quite frightening! I was a *bit* scared. We had a lovel y view! Everything was so green! I'm soo not used to that! But.. it was super nice! After an hour of 2 we headed back to the bus and went back to the hotel. Our guide "Roger" talked about everything and gave a lot of information about Vianden.. Back in the hotel I explored the hotel's 'swimming pool'.. unfortunatly it was nog bigger than a pond :P .. At 7.30 we had the eveningdinner at the restaurant (5-courses!!!) WOW! We had to stay 2 hours at the table! But the food was nice.. and tasted good! Then we headed for bed..

The next day, I had a bit of a bad temper.. the breakfast sucked and I head to get up soon :/.. we went today to Echternach, not far from the German borders. It was a long ride tho! We stopped at LaRochette for a few minutes and then followed the road to Echternach. We stopped at a nearby forest and we did a long walk between trees and hills (even mother managed to get through this forest without falling!) after an hour we were at the endpoint and had a lovely surprise .. the busdriver and some more peeps helped for the 'reception' . The oldies drank a lot of champaign.. and were even drunk! pffff.. no champaign for me.. Hate the smell of it! :S. Then we got back in the bus and 5 minutes later we arrived in Echternach City! We immedialty were dropped in a restaurant and after that we were free to roam around in Echternach! I did a lot of shopping (especially for Mic :D) bought some cards too.. it was a nice city, it was the best day too, we had lots of sun.. then at 5.00u we're departed from Echternach.. After a second BIG evening dinner we were filled up! Wow.. good food :D..!! When we were back in the hotel, I took the Jacuzzi in our room :D and had a great time.. (sigh).. nice and clean and ready for bed! What a great beds we had too :D..

The last day already! After a big (and good) breakfast.. I was in a superb mood!!! We had to turn in our suitcases by 9.30u and then we had some time off in Clervaux before noon.. (at 2.00u we leaved Clervaux) I explored a bit of Clervaux only to discover I've been there before!! What a big surprise that was.. :P I went up to the castle, (who was up a hill) and visited a *Photographic exposition* from The Family of Man. This was all about photo's and some great photography.. it was very good! I also looked at it with an *kindergarderteachersEye* and think of it as very suiteble for children!! Especially because the pictures were all put in theme's like- the beginning- love-marriage-children-children growing up-teaching-fun-work-aging-death.. and a few more.. Beautiful!! I don't mean look at them ALL in once with children, but you can stand looking at one theme .. and so on... If I ever get to Luxemburg school.. I will go there with the children :D. After this I headed back to the hotel and went with mother and Samir to the *Musee of Joue* A museum of toys. Nice museum! And very big too.. Then I went exploring again and visited the Church of Clervaux that was on a higher hill! And there I recognised a lot too! Pffffieuw.. so, when I went to Wallonie a few years back we also visited Clervaux! What a big surprise :D.. Samir didn't recognise a thing! After the big lunch we headed again for the bus and leaved Clervaux behind.. a great time we had! We stopped at Maredsous (an abbey) and buyed some cheese and bread from the monks.. a few hours later (at 7.10u) we arrived in Harelbeke again.. we sayed goodbye to everyone and got on the little busses who'd drived us home.. at 8.00u we finally were home.. the end of an amazing travel!! We sure had a great time..
The buscompany did very good! I was at first a bit sceptic, but I was proven wrong! It was all very good! Organisation was sumblime! All went very good. Everybody always was on time and so on.. i'd say:
Acommodation: 9/10!
Food: 10/10
Guide: 8/10
Travel: 9/10
Punctuality: 10/10
Fun: 7/10
Entertainment: 6/10..
that was the only eyesoar.. not many entertainment.. I expected a bit more entertainment! More strolling around in the forests.. visiting castles, kajakking on the water! This holiday was especially for the more *elderly* people.. nog much youth and so on.. I missed that.. sometimes it was long houres spend on the bus! Ah well, the overal conclusion is that I would reckommend this buscompany to anyone!

Here is a map of Luxemburg=Luxembourg in French (what isn't a part of Belgium!) I heard a lot of discussing about it, but it is'nt a part of Belgium! They speak a lot of languages in Luxemburg! French-Dutch-German-Luxemburgois..
I've marked in a blue cirkel the places we visited! (You can also see Diekirch and LaRochette were we stopped and rode trough with the bus)

Fireworks? Fire Works!

What is firework? I found this on Wikipedia (btw one of the best Online Encyclopedia on the Net!)
A firework is classified as a low explosive pyrotechnic device used primarily for aesthetic and entertainment purposes. The most common use of a firework is as part of a fireworks display.
Fireworks (devices) take many forms to produce the four primary effects: noise, light, smoke, and floating materials (
confetti for example). They may be designed to burn with colored flames and sparks. Displays are common throughout the world and are the focal point of many different cultural and religious celebrations.
Fireworks were originally invented by the Chinese, for entertainment purposes, as a natural extension of the Chinese invention of gunpowder. In China, they were first made by firework masters who were well-respected for their knowledge on the many complex techniques used to create truly dazzling firework displays. Such important events and festivities as New Year's and the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival were and still are times when fireworks are guaranteed sights.
Fireworks are generally classified as to where they perform, either as a ground or aerial firework. In the latter case they may provide their own
propulsion (skyrocket) or be shot into the air by a mortar (aerial shell).
The most common feature of fireworks is a paper or pasteboard tube or casing filled with the
combustible material, often pyrotechnic stars. A number of these tubes or cases are often combined so as to make, when kindled, a great variety of sparkling shapes, often variously colored. The skyrocket is a common form of firework, although the first skyrockets were used in war. The aerial shell, however, is the backbone of today's commercial aerial display, and a smaller version for consumer use is known as the festival ball in the United States. Such rocket technology has also been used for the delivery of mail by rocket and is used as propoulsion for most model rockets.
Improper use of fireworks may be dangerous, both to the person operating them (risks of
burns and wounds) and to bystanders; in addition, they may start a fire if landing on flammable material. For this reason, the use of fireworks is generally legally restricted. In the United States, fireworks are classified as either consumer or display fireworks based upon the amount of pyrotechnic composition an item contains. Display fireworks are restricted by law for use by professionals. Consumer items are available to the public and are smaller versions containing limited amounts of material to reduce potential dangers.

Did you got that?? Well.. I didn't so here is it in Dutch :)

What fireworks?
- There are a lot of types and categories of Firework.. each has it own name and category of usage.
- Some can be used indoor as well! (what dangerous)
- Examples of firework: The Peony, Dahlia, Willow...
- They are very dangerous.. Do I have to mention the firework explosion in Enschede a few years ago?
So.. you and me have enriched our lives with the knowledge of Fireworks.. I still think of it as something very dangerous and will never use it or stand in the place where they are shooting them off! It happend one time at Ludwig that one of the arrows didn't shoot in the air, but stayed on the ground! That was very scary..!! I love to watch them though and think of them as very spectacular and beautiful. (I wonder if people in airplanes also see fireworks..)
Every fireworks have their own warning, lots of people has lost an eye or a lid to them dangerous things! Always handle with precausion! ;)

Sunshine and Lolliepops..

Hi everybody!! Long time no see ... :)

We'll I've been a busy bee :D.. I did a lot of things recently :)

2 weeks has gone by.. And almost a month together with my Mic! :D Soo happy right now!! What a wonderful vacation this turned out to be!! With lots of love, that is! :D (i'm not complaining!)

My job in Olsene is almost over, only one more week at the end of August. I love the children over there. My co-workers did something very nice for me! They have put a jar on their desk, with a note that says: "Sara Korbi, 4 years.. volenteering in Snipper.. She's going to study abroad and we want to give her some 'drinking-money' .." Wow.. isn't this nice!! I'm really happy! That's such a nice gesture. I love my work there..

Last weekend I went to Wenduine with Natalie and Elien (Elien is from our first year at Katho), a great weekend we had! It was superb, we did lots of great things. Lots of stories of Natalie's holiday in Tibet, and seeing some great pictures (Tibet is a lovely country) Saturday we went seahopping.. you know, feets only in the Sea. The water felt good and we had some lovely weather! The Sun was shining the whole day (that brought up memories of last year, when we were in that huge storm!) Some more 'Life Guards' on the way (only for Natalie and Elien!) I already have my own Life Guard :P and he's the best of them all :P.. In the evening there was some entertainment on the beach, a circus, something with fire, something with cocktails.. it was great fun! I took a few pictures too (look at Space soon!) This great spectacle ended with a big (and it was HUGE!) fireworks! It was beautiful! Gorgeous..

In the night, the other girls didn't wanted to go asleep (after midnight) so we watched a few movies, starting with 'The Holiday' and followed by 'High School musical' and 'Step Up', didn't watched that last one.. I was toooo tired! So I felt asleep in the couch, At 7 in the morning I heard the others gone for their beds.. at 8.30u I was awake and put my clothes on. On Sunday we watched Natalie's pictures of Tibet and went to the Sea once more.. at first Sunday was a bit droopy, but in the late afternoon the sun came through. At 19.00u Elien and me went back to the station in Blankenberge and got our train to Kortrijk. I still had a long evening cos at 21.00u I was expected with Mic, cos we went to Ename! We went to Valentijn and Stefanie (Best friend of Mic) and did a few things together. We watched the Ename Fireworks as well.. Then I started to get a bit groggy and was soooo tired! pffff... We watched some of the pictures of Valentijn. I had lots of fun this weekend! I want that again! In the late evening I also had my second driving lesson! I'm improving a lot (I think) :P

Wow! All those fireworks I got to see this summer :P .. but what are fireworks exactly? I wasn't sure.. all those different kinds of *bangs*.. but I will search something about it too and post it as soon as possible!

Another 5 days and I'm going to Clerveaux (Luxembourg) for 3 days with bro and mom.. Yes! i'm kinda looking forward to that too!! See what I mean? Busy, busy holidays i'm having!

Lots of love!

Song of the month.. *August*

Hi everybody!

Today i'm presenting a very nice song to you!! It's from a lovely movie called 'Grease' and is one of my favorite movies of all time!! It's a musical, so this means lots and lots of songs! So... i'm crazy about them songs! I own the cd too. I think it's really a great movie. And.. he's from 1978! Unbelievble! They already had superb movies in that time.. (also Star Wars!)
The movie' s about Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) and Danny (John Travolta) They meet over the summer and are in love with eachother.. but it's more of a summerfling.. when school starts again, Danny is in for a big surprise, cos Sandy is going as well! Off course.. Danny loves his Ego and Image more then Sandy and the love is over between them.. will Danny concur the heart of Sandy again?? See this movie! It's a super-fantastic-great movie! And you'll LOVE it! The song of August is 'You're the one that I want'.. this is the songfinale (together with.. *We go together*)

You're the one that I want.. (OST Grease)

Danny:

I got chills.
They're multiplyin'.
And I'm losin' control.
'Cause the power
you're suplyin',
it's electrifyin'!

Sandy:
You better shape up
'cause I need a man
and my heart is set on you.
You better shape up;
you better understand
to my heart I must be true.

Danny:
Nothin' left,
nothin' left for me to do.

Both:
You're the one that I want.
You, oo, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
You, oo,oo, honey.
The one that I want
You, oo, oo are what I need.
Oh, yes indeed.

Sandy:
If you're filled
with affection
you're too shy to convey,
meditate in my direction.
Feel your way.

Danny:
I better shape up,
'cause you need a man
who can keep you satisfied.
I better shape up
if I'm gonna prove
that your faith is justified.

Are you sure?
Yes, I'm sure down deep inside.

Both:
You're the one that I want.
You, oo, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
You, oo,oo, honey.
The one that I want
You, oo, oo are what I need.
Oh, yes indeed!!!

Have fun with this song! It's sublime!

Love Mic!

I came.. I saw and I thought it was great!

The Simpsons movie.. a little review..
Hi everyone! A few days ago I went to see 'The Simpsons Movie' together with Michael.. I actually expected a lot from it and was content with it.
Little Synopsis:
Homer makes a very big Nature mistake (once again) and gets in great trouble that affects everyone. The whole town is put under a big giant Dome, so nobody gets in or out. The Townspeople are outraged and wants Homers skin! But.. the family luckely gets away and escapes the dome and the townspeople. Homers idea is to begin a new life.. far from Springfield. He really takes that serieus and they set sail for Alaska! There lifes are great and they have a great time.. but then .. when they see a tvcommercial..(with Tom Hanks!) their lives are gonna change! Are they going to help out Springfield or are they gonna stay in cold Alaska?
Go and find out!

What did I thought of it?
I thought it was great! Some great fun.. good jokes and catchy oneliners! *"I'm elected to lead.. not to read.."*It was a great storyline, .. not predictable! Who'd thought the Simpsons even get to Alaska!? :P

The one thing that was very annoying is.. that the best jokes (some of..) already were seen on the tv (those 'Teasers') or something like that!.. It was like they gave away their best things.. :/ and there were a lot of teasers!

What could have been better?
Goh.. nothing much really.. or at least be longer :D and see more of those great characters! There were quite a few celebs on the show.. like Tom Hanks and Greenday.. but that coul've been more and better as well :D.. ohwell.. that's expensive too huh?! So that was okay as wel..
What's the conclusion?
It's a very good movie! Go and see it :D!! Mic also liked it.. so we're good fans together!
It was better.. it was great.. it was fantastic!

*The Simpsons Forever!!*

And.. today the new Pixar movie from Disney premieres! *Ratatouille* (ra-ta-too-ee) I'm so gonna watch that one as well :D with my Disneypalls hé!!
Wow.. watched many films over the summer! More than in 1 year!
- Shrek 3
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- The Simpsons Movie..
- Probably.. Ratatouille.. (from Disney)
- Maybe Hairspray.. (it's like Grease I think!)

Definitly go watch these sites about The Simpsons Movie!
