I will tell everything about last year.. and I’ll be using the same chapters like last year, so everything still has it’s place. But for this year I created a couple more!
Generally
2009 was a year filled with work, work and more work.. and off course a little bit of big love! I had an okay year, and like I said.. a year with lots of work and not much time. It was a good year, having lots of experience in different schools. The last school of last schoolyear was at Kluisbergen.. it was quite far away and I didn't know that.. it was only for a week I thought so... is saisd yes. I was doing so good apperently and the teacher I replied was so sick I had to stay till the end of that year. I had one of the best holiday's.. I actually had 2.. first one to be a 'Race through Belgium'.. where we went camping .. and second I went on a cruise at Germany.. but more to come.. I finally maneged to start my 'signing course' and i'm still happy I did. And know I have a very long long work at Sint Martens Latem till the end of the school year.. (june) I started in november! Yaaay!! Me so happy :) More to see in the upcoming lines :)
About love…
Yes!!! Im already 2 years and 6 months together with my dearly beloved man.. Michael!! I'm still in love with him even if he drives me crazy :P But it's good crazy.. and again some couples died out ..
==> About Michael...
He has quite some worries about his work at the Vaneyck.. he failed his exam and is not a 'lifeguard' anymore.. that is.. 'official' he isn't.. but the city of Ghent loans Michael to TMVW the company who has the Vanecyk now.. Some worries huh? But a couple of days ago he got his hours till the next of June.. so he will be working at the Vanecyk again.
Mic also found a brand new passion! He scubadives! He even entered 2 diving clubs, one at Deinze (called Zeeroos - Seaflower) and another one in Ghent. He loves it very much, the aquipment is rather expensive, so I wont be joining him this time, maybe in the future. He does lots of dives, not only at swimming pools, but also in big rivers in Belgium.. at the end of January he's gone diving in Rotterdam (Netherlands!) Well.. it's a nice hobby, Mic wants to do something in his future jobs with diving. I hope all goes well and his dream will come true.
About school…: Schools I visited in 2008:
- VBS Leiebloem Machelen. (6 weeks)
- Oudenaarde (1 week)
- VBS Eke (2 weeks total)
- A couple of times a school in Deinze. (few days)
- GBS De Start Kluisbergen. (from 1 april till 30th of June)
I had a blast in Machelen! There was even a week added to my work, so i could stay till the 'springbreak' - krokusvakantie. It was a lovely class- the children were pretty nice and I loved every minute of it!! Too bad I had to go..
After spring break I had a month of poor work, working here, there.. everywhere.. I even worked as a gymteacher for a week and I had such a bad backache I had to lay still for almost a week! It was pretty bad.. I overdone it I guess.. I worked part time for 2 weeks at Eke, and had to guide a trainee-kindergartenteacher! Lol! that was so funny.. she was from Katho, but the person coming to check on her I didn't know who she was too bad. At the end of March I had a call from Kluisbergen.. they asked for a week, I did say yes and went there and had to take 2 busses! I found out the teacher I replaced had a severe depression and I lasted at that school till the end of that year! I had a difficult but lovely class.. I'm missing them and the collegues quite. There were 18 children in class and some had theire problems.. :S, but I quite managed it sometimes (sometimes I even felt bad coming! because of certain children..) but in the end, I loved coming, loved the children and collegues and will miss the school.. This year I heard the teacher I replaced didn't come and is replaced by an other teacher (who worked as a part time in the first class..) well, i'm happy for her :)
Summerbreak:
- did some work at the Snipper again!
- Went on our Belgian trip
In September.. i didn't work.. not until the 29th!
till then I worked in
- VBS Zwijnaarde (days)
- VBS EKE (days)
- Sint Hendriks College Deinze (For 2 weeks and a bit in total) (my former school I went student - teaching even in the same class where I did 'BC Space')
- And from middle november on I worked at Sint Martens Latem or SANCTA MARIA!
These schools asked me as well last year.. this year I heard i was recommended to the principal of Sancta Maria by the principals of EKE and ZWIJNAARDE!!! Nice!!!
I loooove Sancta Maria!! it's a Katholic kindergarten and even Mic went there when he was younger!! That was way back in the 90's.. but they still knew Michael :D cool huh!? I now have 14 children, of 4-5 years.. (2e class) and 7 children of 5-6 years (3e class) coming over each day.
I am very glad to say I worked almost everyday from the 29th of September till the 25th of November. I could notice the fun of it on my bancaccount too :P.. but not much on that: i'm heavily saving all my money for holidays and when we move together.
Something I started of this year is a signing course!! It started in October and will end in April. It's about signing with deaf/bad hearing people.. and it's really the best thing I ever did since.. I'm a bit regretting nog doing this course much much earlier!!! I met Noemie (from elementary) again at that course.. turned out she is a translator/interpretor for deaf people and also for school!!!!! woooooooow.. what a huge surprise that was!!
The course lasts for 3 years.. and maybe I can do this translating too for deaf children.. (it could be kindergarten/elemantary.. wow.. found my new passion eh!)
About music…
This year about Enya and Moya! Mic and I did a trip to the Netherlands were we went to see a concert by Moya Brennan! I got a signed cd and even Mic enjoyed the music a bit. We stayed over at Holland cos the next day we could enter Fantasyval with out ticket of Moya! It was a nice weekend that day! We had to leave for Holland on a friday just after school and arrived there at 7ish.. the concert was sooooooo good! I had a good time.. we went to our little hotel and had a lovely night as well :D.. in november 'the Very Best of Enya' was in store!!! This cd/dvd collection was out for Enya's very best of.. after playing it in the car even Michael liked it!! :) All the songs are my favs too.. and the pictures that come with it are just gorgeous.. A couple of weeks ago Mic got a cd from one of his collegues wich more then 100 rock classics.. guess which song is my favorite classic? It's 'I get around' from.... the Beach boys!! I could really listen to that song the whole time :P.. Mic buyed the same cd for him as well... I mentioned it would be cool if some of the songs could be played at our weddingparty! Mic liked that thought! :P
About sports…
2009 was a year of lots of sport! (to my standard that is!) In february/march Natalie and I decided to go to BBB classes, a series of sports that include serious dancing and strechting out.. it was near the Paleastra in one of the schools theire gym. It was really a blast!! On monday we went to the Fit class and on thursday we then went swimming too.. In the new schoolyear the BBB changed into Zumba when everyone was into Zumba and it's very good too!! We still go, now 2 days in a week.. to Zumba and BBB. Good heh?
About work. (see before)
About forums and Movies..
Much movies but only from September till December :P.. I went to see 'The Box', saw 'Sinterklaas en de pakjesboot' (movie with the children of my class) , saw 'Dossier K', saw '2012' and 'Up' on dvd.. I even got the charmed box with all series from Michael as a Christmaspresent!! Cooooooool!!
Family..
Everything oke again.. All goes well with Yasmin and Ilyes and we got no new additions to the family.. (I thing only at Houda's family) My sister Yasmin started on first class of elementary school and is very good at writing and reading!! :) Ilyes almost in the first class too.. now he's still in 3e class. Next spring my cousin Lieven is marrying Ine!! :) Still not sure if we're invited though.. I heard something of a very intimate pary and not everyone of the family and so on...
About friends...
Facebook a very good thing! I met many many of people from everywhere back on facebook! Even pinpals and people from my elemantery school.. that's really awesome :D.. I've met a couple of nice people at my signing course as well.. :) Happy 'bout that :D
About holidays..I went on a Belgian Road trip! we did every (exept 2) state/province of Belgium, it was offcourse with our brand new car!!!! yay!! Mic got it in July and in August we went a way for 10 days.. we visited Antwerp/ Kalmthout/ Limburg/Namen/Henegouwen/bit of Brussel too.. and that's it! The best thing was we had our tent with us.. so it was a very good 'camping' trip! The weather was good too!.. I really loved it!
Not only we went on a Belgian road trip.. I have to include our trip to Bergen - op Zoom to see Moya's concert.. (that was 2 days)
And I even went on a 6-day trip to Germany with my Mum! We did a cruiseholiday on a boat on the Rhine.. 5 days long.. that was fantastic.. my mom was really happy. That was my Christmaspresent for her! (more soon to come..)
Now i'm kinda stuck in a dilemma: this year I had multiple offers to go on a trip: (or I invited myself to come over :P)
- Niki asked me to go to India.
- Mic's brother is going to Kenia (why not visit him hé?)
- My aunt Gretel is currently in Sierra Leone..
- Eline kinda invited me to Tanzania..
- ant not to mention my family in Tunesia is inviting me the whole time.
I don't know what to do :P.. I would love to go! But who's gonna buy me a holiday? I'm afraid i do not have the money unfortunatly.
We think of going to France this summer for about 10 days.
Next year.. (the summer of 2011) is allready kind of full! :p
- Eline mentioned to me that it's nearly 5 years we went to Disneyland.. so we have to go again :D
- She wants to go to Ireland! I said i'm coming with her! My country Ireland :P

About my drivers license!
Well.. I called for my practical exam in June.. I could immidiatly go in July (21 or so) the bad thing was I failed the exam... Some kind of faults that are very bad.. and make you fail the exam. Damn! I was soooooo furious. I didn't wanted to try anymore.. That meant more practice and more getting up really early to go driving. BAH.. In august I called again and the first date to come up was only in December!!! I had to wait 5 months this time! That was really long.. (and hard) but happliy on the 7th of December I passed my drivers exam!! Whieeeeeeee.. now I can also drive with Mic's car. I allready did too.. I went to work and went to pick up Michael at his work.
What are the peaks of this year?-
- Going on our Belgian trip.
- Going to the Efteling for my birthday.
- I got a beautifull ring for my birthday from my man..
- having worked in Machelen and Kluisbergen till the end of june.
- Going to Germany on a cruise..
- Getting my real drivers license!
- having a great time with my friends at the beach of Wenduine.
- Having found lost friends on 'Facebook'.
- Went on a trip to Ostend for our New Years eve.. :) very romantic.
- Working in Sint Martens Latem.
- Bought our car.. a Mazda 6 stationwagen!!
- and of course many more!
My expectations of 2008.. Did they come true?
- Hoping to work till the 30th of June.. long periodes..
Yes! I worked till the 30th of June.. in Kluisbergen from April on.
- Hoping to work from the 1st of September 2009..
That didn't happen, but the work did came earlier then last year.. then it was around middle october the first one called.
- Finding a school that wants me to stay for ever.. Not a chance I guess :p

- Going on a holiday in the summer. (Ireland!)

- Getting my drivers licence somewhere in the summerholidays..

Yeeeeeees!!!!!!! finally!!! The very first minute I got the email saying places are free I signed me up for it! And know i'm still happy to have done it.
- Don’t get any sicker than now.. or for my family and my Mic and his family…
Well.. i'm not going to ask for trouble.. but i have been sick in the Christmasholidays.. an allergic reaction to some cats at my aunts fondue party;
My expectations for 2010:
