That intro.. sounds familiar?

 Music is my first love.. and i twill be my last*.. famous words.. famous song. .. But it certainly defines me. You know.. And now, i will have to talk about one of my addictions with music, specifically Intro songs for various kinds of tv shows :P…

*It’s a shared place with my kids and my husband though !

Yes.. i’m really going that direction !

It started when I was a little kid, about 10 years old.. (reference, I am 30+)  i got a radio/recorder/casetteplayer from my godfather and I used it to the bone.. Literally, It broke down and I still have it! The recording part was the greatest part! I recorded lots of things.. myself while narrating stories, my little brother reciting poems from kindergarten.. AND recording songs I liked from tv shows.. Now i have one precious cassette still containing my youth (of tv shows) :P funny hé, how it comes tot that :P

I loved childrens tv shows, i love the tunes behind it.. (or in this case – before :P)

My cassette contains music from: Das kleine vampir, Power Rangers, Mission top secret (australian show),  other recordings from Dutch tv...

You know the best part ? YOUTUBE is the best..  you will find ANYTHING on there.. so when i am in a nostalgic mood, i would listen to old tv tunes.. yes. Strange I know.

Only one tv show I have not yet found on Youtube.. and that’s te tune to STELLA STELLARIS… Ah well, I still got my cassette !

As I grew older I notice I still like intro’s to tv shows.. I even downloaded some or got some on my telephone (you know? Back in the day you could buy a ringtone for that old (but huge) nokia? :p .. I was sooo addicted tot he tune of ‘Buffy the vampire Slayer’.. and even Angel too.. (Not only for david Boreanaz, god what a handsome fellow)

 Charmed de CSI Miama, which used the songs from te WHO, the Tudors, star trek.. When you hear the intro several times you instant like it :P.. so it becomes stuck in your head.. I even love the tune to Stranger things! (intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RcPZdihrp4)  And yes, it has crossed my mind to use it on my wedding.. you know.. the tune to announce the married couple to everyone :D.. THIS WOULD BE SO COOL ! J a little bit of mysterie, 80’s inpired (where both from the 80’s) and WHO would know this reference? Only me, my hubby and any other ‘stranger things addict’. Doing it defenitly!

When I hear a tune from my childhood, my mood brightens immediatly! Like Ducktales, darkwing Duck, Around the twist.. gosh..  yes, it’s cool to discover new tv shows for kids with my own kids now.

Nowadays netflixing brings out some gems too! I recently discoverd ‘my crazy ex girlfriend’.. ooh, thats a tv show filled with gems! For every season of this tv show the creators created a new INTRO.. I JUST LOOOVE this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMHz6FiRzS8...

and now i’m addicted to WOLFBLOOD.. oh god.. The Irish vibe I get from this one is ENORMOUS.. and really.. what more to love then werewolves and Ireland!? (not filmed in ireland though) Sigh.. yes.. indeed 2 of my other addictions.. (i am really strange you know that!?)This show reminds me of the music from Asterix and Obelix contre cesar. (also Irish inspired :D) and off course Moya brennan herself.. The queen of Irish music!

 So yes.. I like tv shows  intro’s very much, thank you.. and do not get my started on moviemusic! J 

So many tv intro tunes are underrated, but also nice and welthought. Thank you creators for bringing so much music to my life :D Well done and good job! J
