Another post about MY VHS COLLECTION!
This time it's Splash again! Yes.. THAT movie.. but it's a little shorter this time, I actually had a post about SPLASH some time ago..
this is about the other stuff on the VHS too =)
The first that pops up is something about boys that went out sailing.. (its a french program, I thought it was called thalasso or thalassa or something like that) but I cannot find anything about it on the net. So this content will remain a mystery for ever.. This is recorded in the times after FREE WILLY, cos it contains a couple of piece from the movie: (yes did recognise it!) and it shows some kids having an adventure on the Mediterranen Sea and encountering Dolphins, whales and other... a documentary.
So my best guess would be 1994! Other things for future references.. This program has been realised by Bernard Collet.. And mentions a man called 'Jean-Pierre Sylvestre'.. and cruising on the internet I found quite the stuff about him!! Cool.. !! And I think he must be living in Canada! (of all places that are holy!!) the french part that is! (East side)
Pretty neat actually! About Mr Sylvestre:

The second thing is.. an intro to a sports show from tv, I recorded this piece, because it's about America and the World cup soccer.. (I KNOW.. SOCCER..) In that day the RED DEVILS recorded a (very ugly) song to the melody of 'Go west' (from the Pet shop boys) and they used this song with some imaged from America and off course, you can see (I think its) Shamu from Sea World on this television intro

Here is the red devils version of GO west.. (mind you, this is terrible).. This was actually some kind of prank.. but nevertheless used in the end :P
the particular piece of this intro is quite bad, but an attempt to film this with my phone :)

Then we have the movie SPLASH.. love love love love love this movie! I watched this movie over and over again.. it's also in very bad shape of the endless time watching it.
Needles to say, this was my favorite VHS EVER.
And now it's in the bin.. because of .. yay.. progress..
fun fact..
On the disney+ version there is a lot more coverup of Hannah's (Madison) behind.. then this version on my VHS (en the DVD I own) this was because of the PG rating that time .. and no ass please :P
The last bit on this VHS even suprised me.. it was some footage from LIBERTYtv.com...
and it shows clips of FLORIDA (nope, no orcas!) and EGYPT.. more or less some touristic views..

Moederbedrijf Escape Travel haalde de zender op 10 mei 2013 uit de ether nadat het zelf eerder die week de boeken dichtdeed door financiële problemen. De Vlaamse versie was al in 2011 stopgezet.[1]
